Day 1

11:30 to 13:30 Roero Wine Tour & Tasting
Start your program with an introduction to the area’s top wines. Get a unique look at nebbiolo wines of the Langhe and the neighboring, lesserknown region of the Roero.

Tour a fourth-generation Roero winemaking family’s top energy star-rated cellar, followed by a tasting of Roero Arneis, Dolcetto d’Alba or Barbera d’Alba (choose one), Roero Riserva, Barolo, and Barbaresco. The wines are paired with local meats and cheese to show their potential with food.

14:00 to 16:30 Roero Flavors: Pairing Lunch
Continue the Roero exploration with a threecourse lunch that focuses on the flavors of the Roero. Enjoy an apertif, antipasto, and pasta dish followed by a traditional dessert. Paired with two specially selected Roero wines.

Day 2

The Monferrato

Barbera & Indigenous Wines

12:00 to 16:00 Vineyard Hike or Cycling Experience with Picnic Lunch
Explore the historic moscato vineyard rows in the Monferrato on foot or bicycle.
Enjoy a cellar tour followed by an outdoor picnic lunch.

Dine on traditional Monferrato foods with a paired tasting of the area’s primary wines, including Barbera d’Asti, ruché, Moscato d’Asti, and more.

Day 3

The Langhe Hills

Hike Barbaresco

11:30 to 12:30 The Village of Barbaresco
Explore the village of Barbaresco with optional stops at the Tower of Barbaresco, Produttori del Barbaresco, and Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco.

12:30 to 13:30 Hike: Barbaresco Village to Neive
Village-to-village hike through vineyards and hazelnut groves.

13:30 to 15:30 Lunch in the Barbaresco village of Neive
Two-course traditional lunch with local wine at a trattoria.

15:30 to 17:00 Barbaresco Wine Tour & Tasting
Barbaresco winery visit with a focusing on nebbiolo wines from the Barbaresco region.

 

Day 4

Traditional Food

Cooking Class and Barbaresco Tour

11:30 to 14:30 Cooking Class with Lunch
Cooking experience of traditional, seasonal foods; demonstration or hands-on instruction from a local chef.
The meal includes aperitivo, two antipasti, one pasta, and dessert; wine pairing with each course is optional.

Available at guests’ accommodations or the chef’s location. Traditional main course can be added on request. Dietary restrictions can be managed with prior notice.

15:00 to 18:00 Polaris Tour of Barbaresco
Enjoy a scenic tour of the Barbaresco villages and vineyards aboard a Polaris off-road vehicle.

This tour is along asphalt, secondary roads, so the terrain is not rough.

 

Day 5

Nobility

Truffles and Barolo Wine Experience

11:30 to 13:30 Truffle Hunt
Enjoy a two-hour guided truffle hunt through the woods to learn about and experience this ancient Piemonte tradition.

In spring and summer, black truffles are the found and in the fall and winter months the prized white truffle is in season.

The Piedmontese white truffle gained global recognition in the 18th century when Europe’s highest courts found it to be of premium quality. In the 1900s, the Alba White Truffle gained worldwide fame thanks to Alba innkeeper and restaurateur Giacomo Morra who famously sent Alba white truffle samples to notable personalities like Winston Churchill, Rita Hayworth, Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe, and even Pope Paul VI. His efforts would launch the Alba White Truffle Festival in Alba.

Activity level is low with an easy walk in the woods. Find black truffles in spring and summer and the area’s prized white truffle in fall and winter months.

13:30 to 16:30 Visit the village of La Morra with lunch
Visit the village of La Morra with a two-course traditional lunch at a local osteria. Optional village stops also include the Cantine Comunale where they only offer wines made by producers in La Morra, the Belvedere viewpoint that overlooks the whole of the Langhe, and the vibrant Cappella di Brunate in the Brunate vineyards.

Day 4
